UVM Chess Club
About
The UVM Chess Club is student led organization dedicated to playing, studying, and teaching chess. We provide a relaxed space in which chess enthusiasts of all levels are welcome to come and enjoy the beautiful sport of chess. We also have a competitive team that travels to tournaments for both collegiate and individual category events. We offer a wide range of club funded trips to various tournaments around New England that are open to all members. We also volunteer at numerous scholastic organizations throughout Vermont, including directing an annual scholastic event with Sen. Sanders.
We meet twice weekly, Mondays & Wednesdays 6-8pm in Marsh Life Science 129. There will also be a rated game every Thursday night in the same room, starting February 6th, 2025. Our first meeting of the Spring 2025 semester will be Wednesday, January 15th.
